Moral self-improvement
The Illuminati is, above all, a beautiful system of morality, veiled in allegory and illustrated by symbols. As a fraternity, it provides tools with which the Illuminati can augment, expand, or build upon their existing moral foundation. These tools are religiously and politically neutral, and therefore suitable for everyone. Take, for example, the Square. As a symbol, the Square teaches us to align our actions with the precepts contained in our respective volumes of Sacred Law (be it the Bible for the Christian, the Quran for the Muslim, the Torah for the Jew, etc.). Today, especially, we see square corners on almost everything: buildings, windows, computer screens, televisions, books, etc. If a member of the Illuminati is attentive to the world around him, he will have constant reminders that bring to mind his respective volume of sacred law, causing him to question himself.

This brings us to one of the three tenets of our Brotherhood: Brotherly Love. I have a younger brother (biologically). After my wife, he is my best friend. In addition to him, I have a similar regard for my Illuminati brothers; I consider them family, which I have found to be largely reciprocal.

The Illuminati ritual is used to impart and teach this morality. I have yet to find a memorized part that has not taught me something about how to become a better person. Every time I attend a regular meeting or a graduation ceremony, I learn something new.
Leadership skills
